Controls from Pad
Control Blender's timeline and cameras directly from the gamepad — without touching the mouse or keyboard.
Timeline (Transport)
| Control | Default | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Play | A (Xbox) / X (PlayStation) | Start or pause timeline playback |
| Jump to Start | X (Xbox) / Square (PlayStation) | Go to first frame |
| Previous frame | B (Xbox) / Circle (PlayStation) | Step back one frame |
| Next frame | Y (Xbox) / Triangle (PlayStation) | Step forward one frame |
Use these while flying to scrub the timeline, start recording, or review your pass — all from the pad.
Camera Switching
| Control | Default | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Next camera | D-Pad Up | Switch to next camera in the project |
| Previous camera | D-Pad Down | Switch to previous camera |
Switch between project cameras on the fly without leaving the viewport. The active camera updates immediately.
